Abortion
- The Debate Rages On |
|
A
soul decides to incarnate in a physical body,
and in order to do that, it is faced with
various choices. We set up lives with great,
conscious intent. Intent to learn and experience
that which we have not yet "graduated"
from. Just spend a moment thinking about the
logistics of such planning and you will
immediately know that it takes greatness to put
a life together. We choose parents and therefore
grand parents, countries, circumstances and in
some instances we set it up that we get the DNA
from one set of parents but imprinting and
environmental influences from another set of
parents - as in the case of adoption. Setting up
a life therefore is quite something. Not one
soul will influence our lives in any major way
without our and their consent - prior to the
incarnation. |

A
Perfect Life? (Editorial
by Hilda de la Rosa) |
|
Imagine
not ever being upset with anyone ever again.
Imagine waking up in the morning and the kids
are already up, their rooms are clean and their
school shoes are shiny. Hubby is dressed and has
offered to make you breakfast. There is no
traffic on your way to work and the security
guard at the door is pleasant. You have a
wonderful day and all your clients are polite
and helpful. Your boss tells you how much you
are valued in the organisation and promptly
gives you an increase and you have not even
been there a year. |

Dogma,
is Dogma, is Dogma
(Editorial
by Hilda de la Rosa) |
|
New
Age? Or new words, same rules? As we move from
fear-based, to love-based teachings - as all the
masters came to teach us surely we have come
to understand this concept of unconditionality?
On a daily basis I come into contact with
alternative thinkers and I am often astonished
that some still fall into the trap of fear-based
teachings. We give the thing a different word,
but we still motivate by fear. |

Healing
the Woman Within |
|
"What!?
What are you looking at?" I yelled at the
top of my voice in the middle of a busy street.
"I'm looking at a mad woman, yelling in the
street," the man responded.
I had lost it - completely! I am normally quite
impatient - but this? There I was, in the middle
of the road, yelling like a banshee. I had
jumped out of my car, slammed the door shut and
was yelling furiously at a colleague who was
blissfully unaware of the intense rage that she
had unleashed in me, simply by turning left
instead of right. I sheepishly got back into my
car and drove off. Those were the days before
cell phones. Remember those? |

If
You Work for God, You Must Work for Free
(Editorial
by Hilda de la Rosa) |
|
Today
I met an amazing man. A man whose life has
touched more lives than any other man I know, a
man who is changing the world - one person at a
time. This man is Neale Donald Walsch. In my
estimation he is right up there with Oprah
Winfrey. Not because they are better than, but
because they have no fear of the unknown and
simply step up to the podium and do it. Change
lives - that is. |

Love
Cannot Wait
(Editorial
by Hilda de la Rosa) |
|
Only
when we are is faced with our own mortality do
we sit back and consider how fragile life really
is. A friend is ill very ill. Looking at her
I know that I have not told her enough that I
love her. I know that I have not said it often
enough to those very special people around me. I
also know that I have not heard it enough. Even
understanding mortality from a spiritual point
of view and even knowing that every choice is
appropriate, does not make it easier. Right
here, right now the not knowing is the
worst. |

The
Value of NO
(Editorial
by Hilda de la Rosa) |
|
Power.
Wars are waged over it. Relationships are
destroyed by it. Lives are lost because of it.
Power is very valuable. The single biggest
emotion that comes from the lack of it, is
RESENTMENT. Mostly we resent those people around
us, to whom we have given our power. We give our
own power away without even noticing it and on
one fine day, we wake up and find that we are
resentful, resentful of our partners, our
children, our religion, our country, our boss or
our whatever. |

Unconditional
Love
(Editorial
by Hilda de la Rosa) |
|
What
have I learned about God in the last five years?
Not a lot, really. But the most important for
me, is that God has no ego. There is nothing
that He/She wants from you. There is nothing
that you need to do. She has no requirement of
you, nor does She value any career more than
another. Whether you are a missionary, lawyer,
broker, priest or prostitute is completely
irrelevant to God. Her love is unconditional. |

Victim or
Volunteer? |
|
It's
not my fault. But you don't understand. I didn't
ask to be born. I did not have any education
opportunities. My father was and alcoholic. I
was molested when I was young. If only I were
rich, black, white, clever, pretty, lived in
another country, town, or city. I can't change
my life until; I get a divorce, a new job, move
house, my children leave home, I've paid my
bond, buy a new car, etc. These are statements
of the victim. How often have we heard
ourselves, or those around us, make these
statements. Our lives are in a holding pattern
for that illusive moment, "until"

Yours
is Not the Only Truth
(Editorial
by Hilda de la Rosa) |
|
I
am constantly reminded of the miracle in which
we live. And, almost on a daily basis, I
experience the truth of creating our own
reality. Years ago, I was taught this in sales
courses. We obviously did not call it
creating-your-own-reality then, we called it a
positive attitude. We were told the if you
have the attitude of knowing that you will walk
out with the order you will be most likely
get it! Little did I really understand? |
