A Perfect Life?   (Editorial by Hilda de la Rosa)

Imagine not ever being upset with anyone – ever again.

Imagine waking up in the morning and the kids are already up, their rooms are clean and their school shoes are shiny. Hubby is dressed and has offered to make you breakfast. There is no traffic on your way to work and the security guard at the door is pleasant. You have a wonderful day and all your clients are polite and helpful. Your boss tells you how much you are valued in the organisation and promptly gives you an increase – and you have not even been there a year.

On your way from work, you pop in to the shop. The assistant is pleasant and helpful. The shop has all the stuff you’re looking for. When you leave, the woman in the white Mercedes lets you go in front of her. When you get home – your kids have done their homework and the report back from the teachers is that they have behaved perfectly and the teachers have absolutely no complaints about your kids. Your house is immaculately clean and there is no thing out of place.

Hubby is home - right on time, tells you that you are truly beautiful and asks if he can rub your feet. He has also stopped off on his way home from work and picked up dinner for the family. The wine is already chilled – he remembered to put it in the fridge before he went to work in the morning. At the appropriate hour after dinner the kids say good night and tell you how much they love you and appreciate everything you do for them – and they go to bed. The neighbours are quiet and peaceful and there has been no crime in your area for years. This is how your life is. Everyday!

This would be the perfect life. No?

If we are not challenged – we do not grow. Those that challenge us the most are truly our master teachers. The next time that you are huffed off to the point that you can not even speak, remember that this is a master teacher – the very one that makes your life interesting, the one that gives meaning to your being here.

The next time you are faced with a master teacher, take note of the issue surrounding the incident. Is it language (swearing), manners (rudeness), style of dress (dirty or untidy), crime, skin colour (race), religion, politics, etc? Those issues that you do not react to are issues you have reached neutrality about. Those that you still react to in any way are issues that need more attention.

Even if you feel like killing those master teachers, don’t. If it were not for them, our lives would be exceedingly dull.

Dogma, is Dogma, is Dogma   (Editorial by Hilda de la Rosa)

New Age? Or new words, same rules? As we move from fear-based, to love-based teachings - as all the masters came to teach us – surely we have come to understand this concept of unconditionality? On a daily basis I come into contact with alternative thinkers and I am often astonished that some still fall into the trap of fear-based teachings. We give the thing a different word, but we still motivate by fear.

The way we were motivated in the so-called old energy structures was by being told to accept the Lord as our saviour or we would burn in hell. Now I have been told that time is running short and I NEED to raise my vibrational frequency to the 5th dimension or I will remain behind…. Or, you have to reach ascension status by such and such, or something else will happen.

We will all ascend – if not now, then later. Everyone, every-one is on the spiritual path. We are spiritual beings having a physical experience. As I see it, we are already divine beings, with 360° vision. We have just “misplaced” our perfect vision, understanding, capacity for compassion and our ability for absolute and unconditional love. That does not mean that our souls don’t still have all of those things.

We do not have to have, or do anything. We are Beings. We just have to be. Stay in the moment. Be present in the now. We are here to learn about love. Not the soppy love that we have when we fall in love with someone – but that love is also great fun, don’t you think? Jokes aside. The love we are here to learn is the total and absolute, unconditional kind. The kind of love that allows everyone to be his or her own physical experience – whatever that may be. Even if you don’t agree with it.

There are really only two things, which we need to consider. Love and fear. If your lesson is fear-based your growth or journey, will simply take longer. If it is love-based your growth or journey will accelerate. Those of us who enjoy all the aspects of being physical, may choose to take a little longer – we will eventually get it right – don’t worry so much.

Remember the only emotion, which comes through the veil to us unrestricted, is joy. Joy was given to us so we may “lighten the load” as it were. Learn to live with joy – this truly is as good as it gets.
