Wouldn’t it be good if the world was a kinder place?
What would happen if we let go of the preconceived ideas we have about how others should behave, dress, eat or worship?
How would it affect our lives if we reassess everything we have ever been taught?
Are we even sure the ideas we hold about morality, sensuality, ethics, etcetera, are our own and not something we have been imprinted with by teachers, parents, society, church or mentors?
Is that imprinting still valid and does it make our lives better and easier?
What do you need to be happy?
If anyone asked you who you truly are, would you be able to precisely and succinctly give them an answer?
Hilda’s entire focus is to bring the individual to authenticity so that we may understand why we do the things we do and why we get upset and even angry at others or certain events or circumstances.
“Our behaviour and reactions like anger, joy, aggression, enthusiasm, abuse, humiliation, courage, isolation, humility, or any other emotional response we can think of, always stems from a past experience. If our habitual response has become negative in nature, it will make our lives incredibly difficult.”
Hilda teaches people to rediscover their equilibrium. She helps individuals recognise when they are stuck in habitual negative behaviour patterns by providing tools that will help them recognise the behaviour and, more importantly, how to modify that behaviour to produce a more peaceful, harmonious and joyful life.
Hilda’s Bio
Since 1992, Hilda de la Rosa has been a pioneer in the alternative health and wellbeing industry in South Africa. She started a healing centre in 1996 after her son was in a serious motor car accident. His near-death facilitated a huge shift in consciousness for Hilda and made her re-examine what’s truly important in her life.
Because there was not an alternative magazine that met her standards available in South Africa, Hilda started Namasté magazine in 1999. A well-known South African journalist called it a “spiritual magazine for thinking people”. Someone asked her what she knew about publishing magazines and she said, “You take words, put them on paper, and put it in a retail store. How hard could it be?” She found out soon enough that it was certainly NOT a walk in the park. Namasté Magazine had a huge impact on the South African public and a result, Hilda became a household name in the alternative/inspiration/spiritual industry.
For years, Hilda hosted talks and workshops and appeared on many radio and television shows. As a result of Namasté magazine, radio and television exposure, but most importantly, her innate wisdom and capacity to put complex issues across in a simple and easily understandable way, Hilda became a sought-after speaker and workshop presenter.
Hilda is known for her no-nonsense approach to spirituality and life and she often says, “If it does not make my life better and if it isn’t fun, I’m not doing it.”
At last, Hilda has published her first book, entitled Love Versus Fear. And, as is her style, because the book publisher did a mediocre job of promoting her book, she decided to start her own publishing house. LK Publishers was launched in September 2018. Not only is she publishing her own books but Hilda will help many authors get their work published in a slick and polished way. In 2019 Hilda published her second book, Diary of a Wannabe Philosopher, Book 1.
Book two of Diary of a Wannabe Philosopher is written and currently in production and Hilda is busy writing her fourth book, Get Your Sh*t Together, which will be a book in true Hilda, kick-ass style.
Hilda’s funny, quick witted, hard-hitting take on life, the Universe and everything will make you cry and it will make you laugh, but more importantly, it will make you think about, and examine your life.

Author
Love Versus Fear
Hilda’s first book is a combination of a memoir and a how-to book on life, relationships, the universe and everything.
What people say:
“What a roller coaster ride my journey with Love Versus Fear by Hilda de la Rosa has been. It leaves me in awe of the resilience of the human spirit and reminds me that s*** happens no matter how consciously, lovingly or creatively we live and love. This book can be seen as a manual for deeper insight into the nature of consciousness and provides a ‘how to’ model for conscious relating, which will serve to revolutionise and bless many relationships.
For me though, this book was an intense ride alongside the author as she sought to live in alignment with her highest inner voice. To love better, to learn always and to wring blessings for herself and humanity from every gut-wrenching, heart expanding moment of her journey.
It’s elegantly written without self-pity, or over dramatisation. It’s sharp, witty, intelligent and warm. Most of all, it is generous – generous to the other people who have been part of her story and generous to all of us, as it gifts us with the deep wisdom of a life well lived.” Jacqui Webb
I consumed your book this weekend. It could not have come at a better time. Even though our lives have been completely different, we share so many common beliefs it is profound. Reading this love story has healed me from a recent, traumatic incident I was swiftly turning into a negative and unnecessary drama. Thank you. Melody T.
Diary of a Wannabe Philosopher
When life has knocked us around a bit, we gain a measure of wisdom and insight. That wisdom, when it is shared, may bring clarity and insight to others as well.
Diary of a Wannabe Philosopher, is a collection of thoughts and inspirations that came to the author as she experienced different events in her life. Some may have been upsetting, some brought clarity, irritation, sadness and awareness.
The core ideas in this diary relate to relationships, kindness, balance, truth, karma, and finding better ways to deal with life, the universe and everything.
What people say:
Hilda is an inspiring author. She has the ability to relay basic life principals in such away that just “clicks”. Often we know, or think we know… She provided me with the gift of understanding, which now is a part of my core being. I now “get” the distinct difference between guilt and remorse – this has changed my perception, reaction and response, to many hard and soul wrenching decisions.

Why the Road to Hell is Paved with Good Intentions
I read a meme today that said, “Your intentions create your reality.” It was intended to be uplifting and inspiring. Yet, when you analyze the meme it would suggest that somehow someone set an intention to, for example be, gang raped or murdered, or get breast cancer,...

Why We Should Avoid Passive-Aggression as a Conflict Resolution Strategy.
This is how the dictionary defines it: It is a sad fact that many of us are, in fact, extremely passive aggressive. Is this perhaps because we confuse confrontation with anger? Passive aggression is a tool many women use, because they may still believe that they have...
